I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God's grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily.
What a wonderful gift we received through Christ's death, burial and resurrection!
Do we truly realize all that he accomplished for us all? Do we realize what we have in Christ? Also, what about this "grace" we hear so much about? There are even songs about it...and we seem to toss the term around like it has no significance at all. It is an awesome thing to have the Grace of God; this means that throughout each and everyday, we can walk in the unmerited/undeserved favor of God!
this is NOT earned folks! Did you catch that? We cannot earn Grace,,,it is a gift to God's people. It is free to all of us in Christ Jesus. Lets not take for granted all that Jesus died to give us.
God wants his children happy and joyful, fully content in him. It is by this grace through faith we are saved Glory To God!
So, instead of our asking for the favor of God each day, why don't we begin to thank him for what we already have. grace being one of many?
Thank you gracious heavenly Father for the amazing grace that you bestow on us, your children each and everyday in Jesus mighty name...Amen
